What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Harry Sandmann brands Bavarian whisky as Holy Spirit and presents Gustl as a whisky-drinking Jesus in television advertisements.
Gustl is taken from a carpenter's workshop, turned into a media personality, and discarded when suspicion falls on him.
The plot combines a young woman's murder investigation with a publicity campaign built around a Jesus lookalike and whisky advertising.
Gustl's resemblance to Jesus inspires the whisky campaign and drives the chain of fame, suspicion, and social abandonment.
