What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The Monsters, Inc. factory functions as the central setting, with scarers, executives, doors, and energy production forming the story's social infrastructure.
Monsters are employed to frighten children, but Sulley's relationship with Boo gradually challenges the culture's fear-based assumptions.
Sulley's imposing, physically capable personality contrasts with Mike's smaller, fast-talking pragmatism as they protect Boo together.
The factory's vast door-storage system provides the film's signature visual motif and connects Monstropolis with the human world.
