What critics said
Critics broadly found the sequel's promising con-artist premise undermined by repetitive plotting, weak jokes, and uneven characterization, despite some praise for the younger leads and the veteran actors' comic timing.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Rakesh and Vimmi have lived respectable middle-class lives for fifteen years before being drawn into a hunt for criminals using their Bunty and Babli persona.
The original Bunty and Babli compete with Kunal and Sonia, younger con artists who adopt their trademark and challenge their status.
Kunal and Sonia perform cons across multiple states while the rival pairs operate through assumed identities and signature branding.
