What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film sends Topper Harley on a secret fighter-pilot mission while repeatedly parodying war-movie rituals, heroic poses, and aviation spectacle.
Topper Harley is an elite pilot recalled for duty but is psychologically imbalanced and expected to crack under pressure.
The central objective is a secret mission to destroy Saddam Hussein's nuclear plants, treated as both high-stakes action and comic material.
Fighter pilots, jet crashes, and the aircraft carrier SS Essess provide the film's main action imagery and gag machinery.
