What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Ion and Ilie travel from Romania to Miami seeking both the American Dream and an accelerated path to wealth.
The Romanian protagonists arrive in Miami during winter and must navigate a radically unfamiliar social and criminal landscape.
The plot explicitly juxtaposes the American Dream with the Romanian dream of getting rich quickly.
Misu's Machiavellian plan places Ion and Ilie in danger while driving the film's comic complications.
