What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Romy and Michele repeatedly rely on their bond while confronting former classmates and their own feelings of inadequacy.
The protagonists construct a bogus success story and express their aspirations through conspicuous fashion, choreography, and performative confidence.
The ten-year high school reunion forces the leads to revisit their outsider status and measure their adult lives against old expectations.
The film is noted for its candy-colored look, fashion-forward costumes, and heightened comic presentation.
