What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Will is a virgin, Simon remains fixated on Carli, and the friends repeatedly measure their holiday by sexual opportunities.
The four graduates travel from suburban London to Malia, where their vacation repeatedly spirals through romantic and social complications.
The film pairs explicit adolescent fantasies and vulgar jokes with Simon's heartbreak and the friends' concern for one another.
Malia's reputation as a British party destination frames the boys' expectations of sun, nightlife, alcohol, and sexual success.
