What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Mickey is repeatedly killed, incinerated, and reprinted as an expendable employee for a colonization mission.
The film shifts among slapstick, absurdism, horror, action, and political satire, including the comic spectacle of cloned bodies emerging from a printer.
The expedition to an alien planet and its authoritarian leadership turn colonization, hierarchy, and exploitation into targets of satire.
Mickey's successive printed bodies retain memories while raising questions about individuality and personhood.
