What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Monica’s tough background and Giovanni’s more privileged world remain a central source of comic conflict.
Don Davide’s presence tempts Monica and provokes Giovanni’s jealousy.
Monica’s alternative sentence requires service at the parish of San Basilio, where the romantic complications unfold.
The parish, its community-service setting, and the handsome priest Don Davide provide the sequel’s comic environment.
