What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Dougie interprets the masked murderer's actions through the rules of his Satan's Little Helper video game and Halloween imagination.
Dougie's game-inspired expectations turn a real killer's crimes into an adventure, while adults repeatedly misread the danger.
The serial killer exploits Bell Island's Halloween costumes and festivities to conceal himself and terrorize residents.
The film pairs killings and stalking with absurd misunderstandings, satirical jokes, and grotesque comic set pieces.
