What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The special builds comedy from LEGO-style reinterpretations, familiar Star Wars characters, and callbacks to earlier franchise material.
Rey uses a mysterious temple and Force-related time-travel mechanism to encounter characters from different points in Star Wars history.
Life Day preparations motivate Rey's journey and provide the special's festive setting and conclusion.
The LEGO format transforms Star Wars designs and action into animated brick-built constructions with deliberately comic physicality.
