What critics said
Critics generally found the film’s central social premise promising but undermined by confused, repetitive writing and uneven humor, while acknowledging some supporting performances and lead chemistry.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Sanjay and Aditi recruit fake parents and allies so each family believes the other partner belongs to the approved caste community.
The protagonists challenge Rajput and Jat family expectations while trying to marry across caste boundaries.
The scheme depends on fake baraatis, two weddings, ostentatious display, and the social authority attached to marriage rituals.
The film combines an affectionate couple-centered romance with comic scrutiny of honor killings, caste anxiety, and family reputation.
