What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Audrey and Henry kidnap a pregnant patient to perform a reverse exorcism intended to restore their grandson Jackson.
The grandparents’ home becomes increasingly overrun by the ghosts and demonic forces summoned through their ritual.
The reverse-exorcism concept and the film’s eccentric elderly protagonists create comic counterpoint to its frightening possession imagery.
The couple discovers that their ritual has invited more than Jackson into the house, expanding the haunting beyond its intended target.
