What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Alain and Marie encounter an extraordinary basement phenomenon while the surrounding domestic world remains understated and practical.
The story links the mysterious basement to Marie's changing relationship with age and her younger self.
The couple's dream home and its basement become the central location for an unsettling supernatural disruption.
The house purchase and its consequences turn suburban comfort, marriage, and personal aspiration into sources of absurd unease.
