What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Tinker Bell crosses into the Winter Woods, a forbidden or separate realm whose cold environment drives the encounter with Periwinkle and the central crisis.
Tinker Bell and Periwinkle discover their sisterly connection despite being separated between different seasonal realms.
The fairies must understand and use the powers of their wings to save the Pixie Tree from a dark winter.
The film contrasts the warm fairy environment with the icy Winter Woods through 3D animation and magical wing imagery.
