What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The Mobile Infantry unit is stranded at a remote outpost and attempts to hold back killer bugs while the enemy infiltrates from within.
The plot centers on the discovery that the enemy has entered the outpost in an unexpected form.
The action is concentrated around a remote outpost and its defensive perimeter rather than large-scale battlefield spectacle.
Compared with the franchise's science fiction action premise, the supplied genre data and plot foreground horror, alien creatures, and internal threat.
