What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film is built from tactile stop-motion puppets, miniature environments, and visibly handmade production design.
Foxholes, farms, orchards, cider cellars, and underground communities create a stylized country setting rather than realistic rural drama.
Mr. Fox repeatedly weighs his craving for nocturnal raids against Mrs. Fox, Ash, and the safety of their wider animal family.
Wes Anderson’s controlled framing, muted autumnal colors, centered compositions, and chapter-like presentation define the film’s identity.
