What critics said
Critics broadly regarded the sequel as a coy, smug, and exploitative imitation that offers titillation without the original's effectiveness.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Brittney, Maya, and Terence pursue overlapping schemes involving inheritance money while an insurance investigator reconstructs their plan.
The central relationship is explicitly framed through sex, money, and strategic seduction rather than romance alone.
Brittney's loss of an inheritance to Maya drives the rivalry and the ensuing criminal plot.
High school, swimming-pool, beach-volleyball, and alligator-swamp imagery contrast deliberately with schemes, violence, and sexual danger.
