What critics said
Critics broadly considered the film a poorly written and ineptly performed thriller whose promising veteran-revenge premise was undermined by obvious plotting and weak execution.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Ford's isolated cabin and the surrounding Appalachian wilderness become the arena for the escalating hunt between the two veterans.
Kovac seeks Ford in connection with their Bosnian War history, turning remembered wartime violence into a present-day vendetta.
The story centers on former American and Serbian soldiers, with both Ford and Kovac's wounds, memories, and secrets shaping the conflict.
The plot explicitly presents Ford and Kovac's personal confrontation as their own symbolic World War III.
