What critics said
Critics generally found the true wartime survival premise and committed performances compelling, while noting an uneven, television-like production and unconvincing CGI.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
German and British air crews are forced to occupy the same remote cabin and cooperate against the Norwegian winter.
The stranded pilots gradually recognize one another as vulnerable individuals rather than abstract enemies.
The film repeatedly places its characters within white wilderness, snowstorms, and a cramped hunter cabin.
The plot is explicitly based on a World War II dogfight and the crews stranded afterward in Norway.
