What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Kutty regularly writes to his mother about his growing love for Rukmani, making written communication a recurring emotional device.
Kutty offers a kidney to finance Rukmani's eye transplant, while his deceased mother's donated eyes also enable her recovery.
Circumstances repeatedly make Kutty appear irrelevant or disreputable to Rukmani, and she continues to associate him with a rowdy image.
The film combines Kutty's musical aspirations and relationship with Rukmani with humor, blindness, bereavement, arrest, and reconciliation-driven sentiment.
