What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The disappearance and illicit movement of diamonds organize Bond's undercover investigation and draw criminals, agents, and antagonists into conflict.
Bond poses as Peter Franks while presenting himself as a diamond smuggler in order to expose the trafficking network.
The film combines Bond's secret-agent mission with exaggerated assassins, disguises, casino theatrics, and deliberately playful danger.
Las Vegas casinos, luxury spaces, and the pursuit of wealthy industrialist Willard Whyte give the investigation a glossy, theatrical environment.
