What critics said
Critics broadly regarded the sequel as a sloppy, derivative imitation that fails to recover the original's mood or energy, despite some appreciation for its cinematography.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Ashe is resurrected by the crow after being murdered and methodically hunts Judah Earl's organization.
The drug dealers, tattoo culture, shadowy Los Angeles locations, and highly composed cinematography establish a dark comic-book atmosphere.
The crow leads Sarah to the murder scene, resurrects Ashe, and guides his movement toward Judah.
Ashe's pursuit is driven by the killing of both himself and his young son Danny.
