What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Bekçi Şaban revolts against exploitation by the reeve and local tradespeople, turning administrative authority into the target of comic resistance.
People begin believing that Şaban has an uncle in the ministry of the interior, creating social leverage from an unverified connection.
The guard's revolt and the community's speculation about ministry influence turn everyday local governance into farcical social theater.
The film centers Kemal Sunal's recognizable everyman persona in a late-1970s Turkish comedy about exploitation and authority.
