What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Chan Wing Yan serves as a police mole inside the mafia while Lau Kin Ming infiltrates the police for the mafia, making their identities structurally reciprocal.
Both the police force and the mafia contain infiltrators, turning each organization into a site of suspicion and betrayal.
The undercover roles persist for years and force both central men to confront who they are beneath their assigned loyalties.
