What critics said
Critics broadly found the film an energetic, well-executed blend of brutal gore, home-invasion suspense, and pitch-black humor, despite familiar plotting.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The Davison family estate becomes the central battleground, with rooms, windows, and household objects transformed into instruments of survival and attack.
The anniversary reunion is driven by fractured family relationships and concealed financial motives beneath its social rituals.
Erin enters the Davison family as an outsider but proves unusually capable when the home invasion begins.
The film offsets brutal attacks with pitch-black humor and inventive Rube Goldberg-like death traps.
