What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Young Prabhakaran turns away from nonviolent protest after pogroms, killings, discriminatory education policy, and police brutality.
The plot centers on Sinhala language policy, the marginalization of Tamil minorities, and resistance to Tamil language recognition.
Childhood exposure to anti-Tamil riots and later student repression transform Prabhakaran from observer into an activist.
Pogroms, satyagraha protests, the Tamil seminar attack, and student demonstrations define the film’s emotional landscape.
