What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Ayhan is a Turkish citizen living and working in Berlin, and his community ties shape the comic conflict.
Ayhan relies on his large body as a boxer and bodyguard while that same physical advantage loses value in a changing market.
Ayhan and coach Cemal face professional decline as newer boxers gain power and Ayhan falls in the market’s estimation.
Ayhan’s imposing identity as a boxer and bodyguard is juxtaposed with his precarious career and need for a miracle.
