What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The brothers struggle on a family farm in the remote Faroe Islands, where physical separation reinforces their grief and conflict.
The sudden loss of the older brother threatens both the farm and the relationship between Pætur and Jákup.
The once-upon-a-time framing and troll-related original title place an intimate farming drama within a folkloric register.
Saving the family farm is directly linked to the brothers' attempt to preserve their relationship after bereavement.
