What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Marty is a struggling screenwriter whose proposed screenplay and the surrounding criminal events continually reflect and reshape one another.
The dognapping scheme, gangster retaliation, and murders are presented through sharp jokes, absurd situations, and deliberately heightened brutality.
Billy, Hans, Charlie, and the other titled psychopaths turn criminal behavior into performance, storytelling, and competing personal mythologies.
The screenplay premise directly engages gangster archetypes, serial-killer stories, kidnappings, and the expectations attached to cinematic violence.
