What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Ichiko's seasonal dishes revive memories of her mother and forgotten periods of her life.
The four seasonal sections follow gardening, cooking, preserving, and village life in measured detail.
Ichiko grows and gathers ingredients in Komori while building an independent life away from the city.
Recipes taught by Ichiko's mother become the emotional and cultural link between past and present.
