What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Van Wilder has remained at Coolidge College for seven years, avoiding graduation while becoming its unofficial social institution.
Van organizes parties, fundraisers, and schemes that undermine conventional student leadership and Richard Bagg's fraternity authority.
Gwen is required to write a series of articles about Van, creating sustained proximity that develops into romantic tension.
The film foregrounds crude humor, sex comedy, locker-room joking, debauchery, and fraternity-party antics.
