What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Cyrano composes love letters for Christian, turning his verbal artistry into Roxane's imagined proof of love.
Cyrano's large nose fuels his belief that Roxane could never accept him and drives his deception.
The film emphasizes verse, fencing displays, elaborate costumes, and expansive staged scenes in its presentation of courtship.
Roxane believes Christian wrote the letters and falls for his apparent poetic voice, while Cyrano remains hidden.
