What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
British soldiers turn a training exercise into a defensive fight against werewolves in an isolated Scottish setting.
The squad's joking exchanges and competing personalities provide comic relief amid escalating creature attacks.
The werewolves are presented as physical, aggressive threats whose attacks and transformations drive the film's visceral spectacle.
The Scottish forest and surrounding Highlands cut the soldiers off from safety while the creatures hunt them through the night.
