What critics said
Critics and viewers broadly regard the film as a poorly constructed, thinly plotted direct-to-video sequel.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film combines cyborg mercenaries, Central Command, genetic scanning, and a 2077 return premise within an inexpensive science fiction production.
Central Command wants Alex captured alive and scanned to evaluate whether her DNA is a stronger strain.
Alex discovers that twenty half sisters are waiting for her return to 2077, expanding the series mythology around her lineage.
The plot explicitly uses footage left over from Nemesis 2 alongside a very thin continuation story.
