What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Kit reports a murder threat, but the authorities and those close to her question whether she is inventing it or losing her mind.
The stalker's threats become frightening partly because Inspector Byrnes and others treat Kit's testimony as attention-seeking behavior.
Kit's privileged life and London locations contrast with the foggy Hyde Park encounter and anonymous telephone menace.
Scotland Yard receives Kit's complaint but Inspector Byrnes initially doubts her rather than treating the threat as credible.
