What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Chimo and Rubio are introduced as opposing figures defined as victim and executioner, yet their relationship is treated as morally unstable rather than fixed.
The central conflict grows out of two teenagers who have grown up together in the same neighborhood as irreconcilable enemies.
The film places two teenagers at the center of a conflict involving bullying, harassment, victimhood, and the question of what one might do for an enemy.
The premise explicitly juxtaposes victim and executioner while asking whether compassion can emerge from entrenched adolescent enmity.
