What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The housekeeper enters a grand New York skyscraper whose residents and history conceal disappearances and ritualized danger.
The film’s blood-soaked action is presented with over-the-top spectacle and darkly comic absurdity rather than grounded realism.
Asia and Maria are separated after abusive family trauma, and their damaged relationship remains central to the survival story.
Asia takes a housekeeping job and gradually discovers that the building’s apparently ordinary community is organized around mystery, ritual, and disappearances.
