What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Jimmy's alien-abduction claims and intoxicated spiral make his perception the primary route into the threat.
Joe Begos writes, directs, and stars in a compact independent horror production centered on an aggressively personal filmmaker protagonist.
Jimmy's bender directly precedes his claimed abduction and subsequent preparations for the aliens' return.
The alien menace emerges amid Jimmy's unemployment, bad news, and reliance on an old friend rather than a conventional institutional hero.
