What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Vera and Vadim travel by taxi from Moscow to Ufa, making the long-distance route the film's central spatial framework.
The plot explicitly contrasts Vera's light outlook with Vadim's silence and seriousness throughout their shared trip.
The taxi journey places two strangers in sustained proximity, making movement across the country the vehicle for personal connection.
The Moscow-to-Ufa taxi route grounds the story in recognizable Russian geography and everyday travel practices.
