What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Ursula and Neda seek solace from loneliness while imagining another life through their mountain journey.
An East German waitress and an Iranian YouTuber form the central emotional pairing despite their different backgrounds.
The mountain ghost hunt provides the concrete adventure through which the protagonists confront loneliness and find solace.
Ursula's East German identity and the film's emphasis on longing for another life suggest a specifically post-socialist emotional landscape.
