What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Brenda is transferred to a morgue and encounters the central supernatural torment during her first night there.
The plot specifically frames shadows and silences as the means through which the torment emerges.
Brenda’s reassignment as an exhausted security guard places her in the morgue where the danger begins.
The suggestion that there may be no return establishes an unresolved threat without fully explaining its nature.
