What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Luther's overnight stay at the supposedly ghost-ridden Simmons mansion turns supernatural scares, organ music, and secret passages into slapstick set pieces.
The anniversary of the twenty-year-old Simmons mansion murder-suicide drives Luther and Kelsey to determine what really happened and identify the killer.
Luther aspires to become a reporter, but his sensational account of the mansion night creates his major opportunity despite his nervousness and unintended chaos.
Rachel's newspaper, residents, anniversary interest, and long-standing fascination with the mansion make communal legend central to the story.
