What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The plot repeatedly centers on Cheech and Chong's marijuana use, including a large bag of buds and the characters' persistent pursuit of stoner experiences.
Cheech's domestic and employment problems run alongside Chong and Red's Hollywood adventures, producing a succession of eccentric encounters.
Cheech and Chong's partnership, expanded by Chong's meeting with Red, supplies the film's central comic rhythm and recurring misunderstandings.
