What critics said
Critics broadly regarded it as a derivative and poorly directed buddy action-comedy whose disconnected set pieces and gratuitous violence undercut its comic energy.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Bucum begins by pursuing Reggie, then joins forces with him to recover the diamonds and lottery ticket.
The missing stash of diamonds and multimillion-dollar lottery ticket drive the race between the characters and their adversaries.
Bucum's hard-edged bounty hunter persona clashes with Reggie's small-time con-artist talk and impulsiveness.
Critics specifically noted the film's gratuitously violent yet benignly cartoonish action presentation.
