What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The Resonator alters human perception and bodies, while Dr. Pretorius returns in a visibly mutant form and attacks the investigators.
Tillinghast and Pretorius activate the Resonator to stimulate the pineal gland, opening access to hidden creatures and an alternate dimension.
The climax develops into a gore-heavy confrontation with mutant life forms, beheading, carnage, and elaborate creature effects.
The Resonator reveals a parallel world populated by malevolent beings that can cross into human reality.
