What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The plot explicitly blurs the boundary between the horror films shown at the festival and events occurring in Holsten.
A teenager was murdered during the earlier festival, and the new festival raises fears that the same event will happen again.
Holsten is a small, unhappy town whose local movie festival gathers residents around a traumatic communal memory.
The audience and festival participants are positioned close to the fictional violence that begins appearing in reality.
