What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Peter and Beverly's relationship is shaped by immortality, miracles, angels, demons, and the idea of a larger destiny.
New York City is presented as an extraordinary imaginative hive whose winter streets and architecture carry near-mythic significance.
A mysterious white horse accompanies Peter and operates as one of the film's central magical motifs.
The film moves from a 1910s burglary and doomed romance into angels, demons, miracles, and emotionally heightened declarations.
