What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Most of the action unfolds aboard Peninsula Flight 2549 while a technical failure traps the passengers and crew in a shared crisis.
The atypical flight attendants and chief steward respond to danger with dancing, sexual candor, and proudly absurd performances.
The endangered flight turns passengers and crew toward personal problems summarized by the film through sex and death.
The film foregrounds gay themes and builds its airborne ensemble around sexually frank, gender-fluid, and unconventional characters.
