Mia invites the old gang together for Christmas after fourteen years apart, forcing Harper, Lance, Jordan, Quentin, Candace, and the others to renegotiate their relationships.
Harper hides his writer's block, financial difficulties, loss of his NYU faculty position, and secret biography assignment from the pregnant Robyn.
The Christmas house party alternates broad jokes and social friction with pregnancy concerns, fertility history, relationship strain, and tearjerking developments.
